Hole in the Sky is the Phantom Liberty main job in which V races to the wreck of Space Force One to save President Rosalind Myers. It begins the moment V lands at the bottom of the chute at the end of Dog Eat Dog, deep in Dogtown, Pacifica. Barghest troops are already swarming the crash site.
Story
Songbird's Plea
Songbird is aboard the falling plane, and V is the only help she has on the ground. The journal records Johnny's view. Songbird is a pretty name for a deadly netrunner who has just broken into the Relic from a hijacked plane. Now the plane has crashed in Dogtown, and V is off to rescue the President, if it is not already too late. Johnny does not like their chances one bit.
The Crash Site
Barghest has reached the wreck first. V can fight through or rush straight for a building crane near the site. From the top, Songbird talks V across the crane arm and down to the wreckage. V fights off the first wave of Barghest troops from the high ground, then more as they arrive, and makes it into the plane.
President Myers
At the far end of the wreck, behind a door, V finds Rosalind Myers. She is alive and gives V a rough welcome. Barghest is closing in, and after a short introduction, V has to hold the position against wave after wave of attackers, some of them tough. When the last of them falls, the job ends, and the escape continues in Spider and the Fly.
Hole in the Sky Map Location and Walkthrough
Hole in the Sky map location:
The Crash Site
- Go to the crash site straight away. A car or truck is safer than a bike, as the area is heavily guarded.
- Stay on the street that leads from the chute to the crash site. Straying too far fails the job.
- Ignore the enemies if desired and head for the crane.
- Hack the flying car with V's personal link on the way if desired.
- Talk to Songbird at the top of the crane.
- Get onto the crane arm and cross to the wreckage.
The Wreckage
- Drop down and fight the first group of enemies from the high ground, then the reinforcements.
- Jump onto the box to reach the higher platform if the broken wall cannot be smashed.
- Keep fighting towards the marker and enter the wreckage.
- Hack the laptop inside if desired.
- Explore the wreck and find Rosalind Myers behind the door at the far end.
- Talk to President Myers.
- Defeat the attackers in the long fight that follows.

Choices
The way to the crane can be fought or rushed. The rest of the job is linear.
Rewards
Completing Hole in the Sky rewards NUSA suit (missable).
The NUSA Suit, a piece of clothing, lies inside a suitcase in Space Force One.
Tips
This job can be failed, with serious results. If V takes too long or wanders off the street that leads to the crash site, Songbird warns V several times. After the last warning, the President dies, Songbird leaves, and the main story of Phantom Liberty is locked. Head straight for the crash site.
The final fight is long, with many enemies and some tough ones. Use cover inside the wreck and keep moving.
