Imagine is the first of four meditation side jobs with a strange monk known as the Zen Master. After Playing for Time, he sits on a bench near a small pagoda south west of Corpo Plaza, in the Glen, Heywood. He offers V a meditation through a braindance, the session of earth. The chain goes on with Stairway To Heaven, Poem Of The Atoms and Meetings Along The Edge.
Story
A Stranger on a Bench
Johnny is wary in the journal. Night City has no shortage of fools, hustlers and plain jerks. If V stopped to talk to every one of them, V might cross the last of V's wires. But if V's gut says to talk to this one, fine. Just watch for sticky fingers.
V approaches the stranger and talks to him. The Zen Master asks for a payment for his session, and V can pay or refuse. The choice changes nothing. Then V goes through the meditative braindance and leaves.
The Four Elements
Each of the Zen Master's sessions stands for an element, and each takes place in a new spot. Earth comes first, here. Water follows in Stairway To Heaven, in front of a pagoda in the south east of Japantown. Fire waits in Poem Of The Atoms, at the centre of the roundabout in North Oak. Air ends the chain in Meetings Along The Edge, on a clifftop south of Rancho Coronado, above the solar farms. After each session, V has a short talk with Johnny.
