Netrunner is the skill that rises with the Intelligence attribute. It levels from quickhacking, from smart weapons and from the Monowire, and it hands over a reward at every fifth level. The rewards are RAM, duration and the two abilities an Intelligence build lives inside. A netrunner levels it from the work they were going to do anyway.
How It Levels
The skill climbs from neutralising enemies with smart weapons and Monowire cyberware, from quickhacking enemies, devices and vehicles, from uploading daemons at access points and from crafting quickhacks.
Hacking a device counts as much as hacking a person, which means a build that works through cameras and turrets levels as fast as one that fights. Access points in particular pay well, since every daemon uploaded is progress.
What It Gives
The early rewards go straight into the resource the tree runs on. RAM recovery rate rises, maximum RAM rises, and a perk point arrives.
The middle rewards widen the work. Smart weapon lock-on range extends, device and vehicle hacks cost less RAM, control and covert hacks last longer and combat hacks do more damage.
The late rewards belong to Overclock. The mode lasts much longer, it costs less health to hack inside it, and finally it reveals enemies within a short distance and allows anyone who is not a netrunner to be hacked straight through cover.
Perks
The Intelligence tree is where the points go. The netrunning branch, the queue branch and the smart weapon branch all level this skill, and the device line through Eye In The Sky levels it from hardware rather than people.
The Overclock rewards are the reason to keep the skill rising. The perks that read the mode are already the strongest in the tree, and the skill makes the mode itself longer and cheaper to use.

Notes
Because crafting quickhacks counts, a netrunner can level this skill at a workbench. Access points scattered across every district are the other reliable source.
