Visitors use the intercom at the entrance and take the lift up to the penthouse. The rooms hold their law school diplomas, a wedding photo and family pictures. A media room, a bedroom upstairs and a security room downstairs complete the home. The couple pays a private security firm, SSI, to watch over it.

Not everything in the apartment is what it seems. A hidden door in the media room leads to a secret space that the Peralezes themselves know nothing about.

In I Fought the Law, the Peralezes hire V to find out how the late mayor, Lucius Rhyne, really died, and V reports back to them in the penthouse.

In Dream On, Jefferson says he shot an intruder in the apartment and then lost consciousness, while SSI insists nothing happened. Following a blood trail, V finds the hidden door. Behind it is the first proof that someone is tampering with the couple's minds.
