Psychofan is a Thievery gig from Padre in the Glen, Heywood. A client wants Kerry Eurodyne's guitar, the prized possession of Gaston Slayton, a Samurai superfan who has filled his flat with the band's memorabilia. The flat is number 1702, on the 17th floor of a building on Lobos Street, and the guitar sits in a locked shrine room. Johnny Silverhand has plenty to say about the collection.
Story
The End Times
Padre has little love for the band in the journal. There was a group in the 2020s called Samurai, a talentless bunch of angry, strung out kids who thought they were making music. For some reason, people still listen to them, which to Padre is one more sign the end times are near.
His client wants Kerry Eurodyne's guitar. It is a strange job, Padre admits, but the eddies are real, and that is what matters. He tracked the guitar to Gaston Slayton, who is obsessed with Samurai and collects their memorabilia. V has access to the building's lift, but Slayton's flat will be well secured, as Kerry's guitar is the jewel of his collection.
The Flat
Inside, V can wander freely. Samurai concert posters and vintage guitars cover the walls, and Johnny calls the lot "hot trash". Upstairs are Slayton's bedroom, with a suitcase, and the shrine room that holds Kerry's guitar behind a keypad. A still on the wall shows the guitar with a date on it, 2065, which is the door code.
Slayton's Plan
Slayton's computer in the bedroom is locked, but entering the shrine code also seems to open it. His messages show that he wanted surgery to look like Kerry.
