Johnny's Pants are the leather trousers Johnny Silverhand wore as a rockerboy. They are an Iconic piece of clothing for the Legs slot. V finds them in the apartment of a Samurai superfan during the gig Psychofan. Psychofan is an early gig, so the pants can be in V's hands well before the other pieces. They sit in a suitcase in the bedroom, away from the guitar the gig asks for.
Appearance
Johnny's Pants are a cosmetic piece. In the game, clothing is mostly about looks. Armor comes mainly from cyberware instead.
The Wardrobe in V's apartments changes how V looks while the stats of the equipped gear stay the same. A whole outfit can be saved there and switched on later. The pants fit into a saved Johnny outfit together with the aviators, the jacket replica, the tank top and the shoes.
How to Get Johnny's Pants Guide
- Drive or walk around The Glen in Heywood until Sebastian Ibarra offers the gig Psychofan.
- Go to apartment 1702 on the 17th floor of the building on Lobos Street.
- Get into the apartment through the front door or the balcony.
- Go upstairs to the bedroom.
- Loot the suitcase in the bedroom before leaving the apartment.
Johnny's Pants Map Location and Quest Guide
- Take the gig Psychofan from Sebastian Ibarra in The Glen, Heywood.
- Enter the apartment building on Lobos Street and take the elevator to the 17th floor.
- Open the front door of apartment 1702 with enough Technical Ability.
- Without it, take the fire exit stairs next to the door up to the roof.
- Walk to the edge of the roof above the apartment and drop down onto the balcony, then enter through the unlocked door.
- Go upstairs to the bedroom.
- Open the suitcase in the bedroom and take Johnny's Pants.
- Enter the code 2065 on the shrine room door, take Kerry Eurodyne's guitar and deliver it to the Drop Point to finish the gig.

Lore
The in-game description calls them authentic leather for an authentic rockerboy. The pants once belonged to Johnny Silverhand. Johnny was the frontman of Samurai, a band known for its anti-corporate message. He died in the attack on Arasaka Tower, and his mind now lives as an engram on the Relic in V's head.
The pants sit in the home of Gaston Slayton, a fan obsessed with Samurai. Slayton collects the band's memorabilia, and his apartment is full of concert posters and old guitars. His prize is the guitar of Kerry Eurodyne, Johnny's old bandmate. Sebastian Ibarra's client wants that guitar, and the gig is about stealing it. Johnny's pants are part of the same collection.
Notes
- Johnny's Pants count toward the Breathtaking achievement, which asks for every item that once belonged to Johnny.
- A separate item also named Johnny's Pants comes from one of the endings, and it is a different pair.
