Dredged Up is a reported crime in Northside, Watson, that leads down into the sewers. A crew acting on a tip ambushed a Maelstrom cargo of drugs and took the lot. One Maelstrom ganger got away, bleeding badly, and his blood trail leads through the dark to a container and the truth about what happened.
Story
Down in the Muck
The journal sets the scene. It is dark and damp down here, and the stench could turn any stomach. But there is always something interesting below the streets. Before working out what this place is, V should check what is in that container.
The Ambush
A shard records a crew member called Grizzle reporting to his boss, Ryder. The tip checked out and the goods were there. Maelstrom had no idea and was caught completely off guard. Only one of them got away, full of holes and bleeding like a burst pipe. Ryder wants him found, as there must be no witnesses. Then they move out, because Ryder already has a buyer for the suppressants. Ryder has also cracked a code, and sends it along.
SOS
Another shard holds the last messages of the survivor, Kenton, to a friend called Wrey. He has lead in his gut. Someone set a trap, and Gina, Peeta and Wacko are all dead. He made it into the sewers, but if nobody gets him out soon, they will find him or he will bleed out. Wrey promises they are coming and tells him to hold on.
The Transport
A message lists the next shipment, a long list of street drugs and suppressants.
