Six Feet Under is a cyberpsycho sighting for Regina Jones by the train tracks in Northside, Watson. A car crashes into a wall as it flees, and Maelstrom gangers lie bled out along the tracks. The cyberpsycho is Lely Hein, a Valentino kidnapped by Maelstrom and turned into a weapon against his own gang, a "Trojan horse" fitted with their chrome.
Story
Recruitment Methods
The journal remarks that Maelstrom has its own ways of recruiting and keeping members. Ranks getting thin? Just kidnap a few Valentinos, knock them out and bolt on new faceplates. What could go wrong? Everything.
The Trojan Horse
A shard records two Maelstrom members gloating. Vinnie Rey loaded "Rudolf" with chrome: he was spinning for a while, but now sleeps like a baby. Herb Pane can already picture the Valentinos' faces when they roll him back to them, a Trojan cyber horse, and wants a feed from his optics to watch him slice them open. Vinnie fitted him with red Kiroshis, and admits he almost does not want to give him back.
Farewell
On Lely's body, V finds his last message, to Tamara. He has tried to reach her since they took him. He knows she is looking, but he cannot get onto the Net, and should have listened when she tried to teach him. She would not recognise him now, and neither does he. He calls himself a monster. His gang will never take him back, with his tractor hands and ugly red eyes. All he can think about is her friends, who told her a Valentino would leave her and vanish without a word. Now they will say "told you so", and they could not be more wrong. He feels the pressure in his head building and building, and does not know when it will burst.
