These Boots Are Made for Walkin' is a side job open only to a Nomad V. During Ghost Town, after the second meeting with Rogue at the Afterlife, V's old car from the prologue, a Thorton Galena "Rattler", suddenly sends its location. It sits in the landfill of the Badlands, due south of the Medeski Fuel Station, and someone has been driving it.
Story
A Phoenix from the Ashes
The journal can hardly believe it. V thought the old ride was wrecked for good, and yet here it is, alive again like a phoenix from the ashes. But how, and why now? V had already closed the chapter of kicking up sand with the nomads. Still, it would be stupid not to check it out. The past should never be underestimated, because it loves to take revenge.
The Warm Engine
At the landfill, V finds the car and looks under the hood. The engine is still warm. Someone has driven the car recently. As V finishes checking it over, a woman named Lana Prince walks up, surprised and annoyed to find V messing with her car.
Lana
Lana explains that she is desperate to leave the city. She has had enough of the wastelands, and the car is her only hope of starting a new life somewhere else.

Choices
The Car
V can let Lana keep the car and give her tips on fixing it up before she leaves Night City. V can also buy it from her for its sentimental value, so she can buy something else and leave. Or V can threaten her, even at gunpoint, until she walks away. Buying or threatening gets V the car back.
Rewards

The Galena "Rattler" joins V's vehicles if V buys it or takes it from Lana. The job also pays experience and Street Cred.
Notes
- The price of the car once was a flat €$ 100. Since the 2.0 update, it grows with V's level.
- The job is named after the song These Boots Are Made for Walkin', sung by Nancy Sinatra.
