The Ash of War: Wild Strikes is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Heavy affinity and the Wild Strikes skill. It can be picked up early in a run.
Wild Strikes swings the weapon back and forth with wild abandon, and holding the button keeps the swings going for a small FP cost each. A normal attack follow-up ends with a wide sweeping blow, while a strong attack follow-up ends with a hopping overhead slam. Every swing applies the weapon's full status buildup, making it a fast way to stack bleed, frost or poison. It suits Strength builds with axes, hammers, curved swords and greatswords.

It grants the Heavy affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Keen, Quality, Fire, Flame Art, Lightning, Sacred, Magic, Cold, Poison, Blood or Occult. The skill costs 2 FP. It fits Greatsword, Curved Sword, Curved Greatsword, Great Katana, Axe, Greataxe, Hammer, Flail and Great Hammer.
How to Get Ash of War: Wild Strikes Guide
- Dropped by a Teardrop Scarab on the road from the Stormhill Shack Site of Grace to the Castleward Tunnel Site of Grace in Stormhill, on the approach to Stormveil Castle.
- Once obtained, it can be duplicated by trading Lost Ashes of War to Smithing Master Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.

Skill
The continuous swings are best used against staggered or slow enemies, then capped with the strong follow-up for heavy stance damage. The swings can be parried, so it is risky against parry-capable foes. On weapons with innate status, such as the Morning Star, it builds effects very quickly.
