The Ripple Blade is a Axe in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Mid game. It is found around Liurnia of the Lakes, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.

Why Players Pick It

The only Axe with better than C scaling at +0: A in Arcane, reaching S Arcane at max standard. Its own description says its attack power is greatly enhanced by arcane. The trade is brutal: 70 base physical against the class's 133 ceiling, so it is only worth it on a committed 20+ Arcane build. Bought from Pidia for 3,500 runes.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Arc at A, so Arc is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 11, Dex 11 and Arc 20 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Notes

Unique weapon wielded by young Albinaurics, this sword is modelled after the ripples that are thought to be the origin of their species. Its attack power is greatly enhanced with one's arcane attribute.

Sold by Pidia, Carian Servant for 3500 runes, or alternatively by the Twin Maiden Husks after giving them Pidia's Bell Bearing.
