The Aspects of the Crucible: Breath is an Erdtree incantation in Elden Ring. It is picked up mid-game, in Volcano Manor.
Aspects of the Crucible: Breath is one of the ancient Erdtree incantations, a manifestation of the primordial crucible where all life was once blended together. It grows a large throat pouch on the caster's neck and breathes fire ahead while the caster keeps walking forward, and charging extends the breath while FP keeps draining. The caster can turn while breathing, its start-up is short and its area wide, which makes it a decent wake-up attack in PvP after knocking an opponent down. The Crucible armor sets and the Roar Medallion boost it, and it also benefits from fire damage buffs, but the Godfrey Icon does nothing since charging adds duration rather than damage. Crucible Axe Knights use it themselves, and it suits Crucible-themed faith builds that want a mobile fire breath.
Effect
Grows a throat pouch and breathes fire ahead while the caster keeps walking; charging extends the breath. Each cast costs 28 FP and 40 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Aspects of the Crucible: Breath Guide
Aspects of the Crucible: Breath drops from Tanith's Knight, who invades after Tanith is killed in the boss arena of Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy at Volcano Manor, at the end of her questline.
- Reach Volcano Manor on Mt. Gelmir, talk to Tanith and agree to join to receive the Drawing-Room Key.
- Complete the three assassination requests against Old Knight Istvan, Rileigh the Idle and Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood, reporting to Tanith after each.
- Accept Tanith's offer to meet the lord and defeat Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy.
- Return to Tanith and exhaust her dialogue.
- Go back to Rykard's arena, where Tanith is feeding on his corpse.
- Kill Tanith.
- Defeat Tanith's Knight when he invades to get Aspects of the Crucible: Breath.
