Dryleaf Dane is a field boss in Elden Ring. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.
Dryleaf Dane is a monk of the Dryleaf Sect and a sworn follower of Miquella who challenges travelers to a duel. The fight takes place at the Moorth Ruins in Scadu Altus after the player finds his Monk's Missive. He fights bare-handed with fast kicks and martial arts. Spirit ashes are not allowed in the duel.
Lore
Dane is a lean monk in a sun-faded, lightly soiled hat worn low over his eyes. He fights without a weapon, relying on kicks and strikes.
Dane belongs to the Dryleaf Sect, seekers who chose to serve a new god after seeing the Erdtree's decline in its fallen leaves. He served Miquella even longer than Needle Knight Leda did. He trained by letting a waterfall beat upon his body and throwing himself into its basin. He seldom speaks, and even Leda has never heard his voice.

Attacks
- Kick combos: fast, agile kicks that chain together. Waiting for the string to end before striking works best.
- Jumping attacks: leaping kicks from range. Striking him in mid-air stuns him.
- Palm Blast: a ranged blast from his palm. A sideways roll avoids it.
- Dodges: he slips past many attacks, so timing matters.
Tactics
- Find the Monk's Missive, then use the May the Best Win gesture before him to begin the duel.
- Break his weak stance with heavy attacks and punish him while he is down.
- Hit him in mid-air during his jumping attacks to stun him.
- Use a weapon with high stance damage, such as a greatsword, to power through his attacks.
- Use status effects such as frostbite, bleed and poison for burst damage.
