The Bloodflame Blade is a Blood incantation in Elden Ring. It is a mid-game find in Liurnia of the Lakes.

Bloodflame Blade is a Blood Oath incantation granted by the Lord of Blood, whose bloodflame keeps building blood loss for a moment after it strikes. It engulfs the weapon in the right hand with bloodflame for a minute, adding fire damage and a short bloodflame effect that builds up blood loss on every hit, and it can be cast while moving. It works on any buffable weapon but is strongest on weapons that already cause bleed, such as the Uchigatana, and on multi-hit skills like Blood Tax or Stormcaller. The bleed does not scale with Arcane, while fire boosts such as the Fire Scorpion Charm raise its damage, and it cannot be applied to somber or infused weapons. It suits early bleed builds and faith hybrids that want to add blood loss to a physical weapon.

Why Players Pick It

The Bloodflame Blade coats the right-hand armament in bloodflame for 60 seconds, adding fire damage and a lingering effect that builds 40 blood loss over two seconds after each hit. It costs 20 FP and is available early enough to carry a bleed build through most of the game.

Effect

Engulfs the right-hand armament in bloodflame, adding fire damage and building up blood loss for a short time after each hit; it can be cast while moving. Each cast costs 20 FP and 10 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
