The Rock Sling is a Gravity sorcery in Elden Ring. It becomes available in the middle of a run.

Rock Sling is a gravity technique studied by the young Radahn, whose master was an Alabaster Lord with skin of stone. It pulls three large rocks from the earth and flings them in an arc, dealing physical damage with high stance damage, and it can be cast while moving. Because it deals physical damage, buffs such as Flame, Grant Me Strength and the Blue Dancer Charm boost it, it cannot be spell-parried, and the delay in its cast catches enemies that dodge the casting animation. The rocks spread out, curve slightly and break on walls, so it is weak in tight spaces and up close, but it tracks well on targets below the caster. The Meteorite Staff boosts it, making it a natural pick for gravity sorcerers and intelligence builds that want to break stance.

Why Players Pick It

The Rock Sling tears three clumps of rock from the earth and hurls them for physical damage rather than magic, which sets it apart from most sorceries and lets physical attack buffs apply. It costs 18 FP and gains 30% from the Meteorite Staff as a gravity sorcery.

Casting it takes 18 Intelligence and a Glintstone Staff. It fits pure Intelligence and gravity builds, where it is often cast alongside Glintstone Pebble, Stars of Ruin, Comet Azur and Rennala's Full Moon.
