The Preceptor's Big Hat is a large hat with the movements of the stars drawn inside its brim, worn by the magic preceptors who served the Carian royals, including Preceptor Seluvis and Preceptor Miriam. Glintstone sorcerers are the descendants of astrologers, and the Carians remain aware of it even if their fate has long been severed from the stars. It is a light hat that raises Mind by three at the cost of a cut to maximum stamina, and it is found on Seluvis's body at the end of Ranni's story. It suits sorcery builds that want more FP and the classic Carian preceptor look.

How to Get Preceptor's Big Hat Guide
The Preceptor's Big Hat is looted from the body of Preceptor Seluvis in Seluvis's Rise, who dies once Ranni the Witch is given the Fingerslayer Blade.
- Defeat Royal Knight Loretta at Caria Manor to open the way to the Three Sisters.
- Talk to Ranni the Witch at the top of Ranni's Rise, agree to serve her, and speak with the projections of War Counselor Iji, Blaidd the Half-Wolf and Preceptor Seluvis.
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn in Caelid.
- Enter Nokron, Eternal City through the crater left by the fallen star in Limgrave and take the Fingerslayer Blade from its chest.
- Give the Fingerslayer Blade to Ranni at Ranni's Rise.
- Go to Seluvis's Rise in the Three Sisters and loot the Preceptor's set from Seluvis's lifeless body.
