The Ancient Gate is the way into Cinder's Cradle. It stands in the north of the Veilwater Basin, between Cromville Hot Spring and Lake Luma. The first step of Land Of The Sky Islands leads here. Past it, the Shroud of Cinder's Cradle needs Flame level 10.
What Is Inside
The Flame sends the player to the gate to face an evil it senses coming. Flame level 10 needs the Broken Guard Of The North Crown. It sits on the throne in Cromville Throneroom. Past the gate lie the Battlegrounds, where Vorgoth's army camped.

Lore
Ancient beacons once guarded this border. A Rimgard officer wrote that anyone crossing the line got zapped, and that the beacons would have to come down. The Ancients later drained power from their barriers to lift their land into the sky. That left the gate weak. Lord Vorgoth's army crushed it to dust with little fight. Loraine Crim and the Drak'Dal slipped in right behind the soldiers.
