The Boneshard Excavation Camp is an abandoned dig site in the Kindlewastes, set up by the scholar Loraine Crim. She came to study the huge fossils of long-extinct creatures that lie in the desert. The local tribes said the bones belonged to the gods, but Crim did not believe them. Among the bones, she met a silent shaman who drew a single rune in the sand. Back in the archive of East Lapis, she translated it. The rune meant "dragons".

Lore Pages
"Clues From A Shaman" lies inside a tent. It is the second page of Myth of Giants. Crim describes the shaman as quiet and unwilling to answer, perhaps under an oath of silence, and living among the fossils he seemed to revere. The first page, "Bones In The Sand", tells of her doubts about the tribes' story and her plan to dig at a promising site.
