The Eldermere Dam Excavation Camp is an abandoned research camp in the Kindlewastes, set up by the scholar Loraine Crim at an Ancient dam. Crim came to learn why the once plentiful water of the Kindlewastes had vanished. The few residents left told her it was the will of the gods. She believed the spreading Shroud was to blame. Her work here ended when Draconian Vultures swooped over the camp and she dropped her Scientific Instruments in panic. The Alchemist, her old friend, sends the player here to recover them.
Where to Find Eldermere Dam Excavation Camp - Map Location
The camp lies north-west of the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire, in the north of the desert. A Flame Shrine stands to the east, and a Shroud Root grows to the south-west. Ternion Mine and a Night Sanctum lie further south-west.

Quests
In Scientific Instruments For A Laboratory, the Alchemist needs the tools to build a Laboratory, which brings new recipes and better healing. The search starts at the Obelisk Excavation Camp, Crim's last known site. A note there reveals that she studied the dam first and lost her instruments when vultures attacked. The Scientific Instruments lie at this camp.

"On The Disappearance Of Water" lies on a table inside a small tent on the hill north-east of the camp. In these field notes, one woman tells Crim that the sun god drew all the water skyward, and an old man says the lakebed cracked open overnight. Crim calls it correlation, not destiny. "Bones In The Sand" lies on the table outside. It is the first page of Myth of Giants, where Crim doubts that the desert's giant fossils belong to the gods.
