The Exploding Fell Critter is a Fell enemy in Enshrouded, found in Revelwood, the Nomad Highlands, the Kindlewastes, the Albaneve Summits, the Veilwater Basin and the Cinder's Cradle. Exploding Fell Critters are large, beetle-like Fell that can be found alongside their smaller cousins in mid to late-game Shroud areas. They patrol their territory with their fellow critters until they spot a threat; upon which they will promptly scurry toward the intruder and self-detonate. It is weak to cutting, piercing, blunt, fire and ice damage.
Where to Find the Exploding Fell Critter
It lives in Revelwood, the Nomad Highlands, the Kindlewastes, the Albaneve Summits, the Veilwater Basin and the Cinder's Cradle. Shows up first in the Nomad Highlands Shroud and can appear anywhere ordinary Fell Critters live. Travels with swarms of ordinary Fell Critters around critter nests. Can burst out of the ground in mycelium-covered patches of the Shroud. Summoned in numbers during the boss Fell Critter Queen fight.

How to Fight the Exploding Fell Critter
- Kill it first and from range with a bow, staff or bombs before it reaches you.
- Only try to bait the explosion if your timing is sure, since the warning window is tiny.
- Destroy the critter nests that keep spawning them; a felling axe or fire damage does it fastest, and a bomb lets you hit the nest from a distance.

Lore
A big, glowing red, beetle-like Fell, larger than the common Fell Critter, that bursts when it dies. It patrols with the rest of the swarm until it spots an intruder, then scurries over and detonates.
Notes
- Like every Fell enemy it takes extra damage from Fire and takes no damage at all from Shroud attacks.
- Often drops nothing at all.
