Drink an Anti-Sting Concoction and the Deathsquitoes of the Plains will still find you, but they veer off a few paces short instead of stinging.
How to Make It
Make Mead Base: Anti-Sting in a Mead Ketill from ten Cloudberries, three Grouper and one Fragrant Bundle. You pick Cloudberries in the Plains and catch Grouper just offshore of the same biome with Stingy Fishing Bait. The Fragrant Bundle is sold by the Bog Witch, who only stocks it once Moder is dead. Pour the base into a Fermenter and leave it for two in-game days to get six concoctions. Each drink keeps the swarm off for ten minutes.
