Every mead in the game goes through a Fermenter before it is worth drinking. The base you mix at the cauldron goes in as a single jug and comes out days later as a batch of finished bottles. You find it under Crafting Stations: a squat barrel of finewood, bronze and resin. It is the half of the brewing chain that turns a raw base into something that actually heals, warms you or holds off poison.
How to Build It
It costs thirty finewood, five bronze and ten resin, and you build it within range of a forge, which is also the station you need nearby to repair it. The cost is the easy part and the placement is the hard part. A fermenter left open to the sky reports that it is too exposed and refuses to work at all, so it needs a roof above it and walls around most of it before it will take a jug.
