One Beehive and a captured queen turn a quiet corner of your base into a steady supply of Honey, the sweetener behind most mead and a lot of the better food. It is listed under Crafting Stations, but it crafts nothing on demand: left alone it slowly fills, and you collect what the bees have made.
How to Build It
Building one takes ten Wood and one Queen Bee, with a Workbench in range. Queen Bees drop from the wild bee nests tucked into abandoned buildings, and each world only holds so many of them, so every hive you build is a permanent choice. The bees also need light and air. The hive has to stand in the Meadows, Black Forest or Plains and be mostly open to the sky, so a hive walled up inside a hall gives you nothing. It fills to four honey and then waits, and rain does it no harm.
