Honey is the sweetener behind almost every mead in Valheim and a decent stamina snack on its own. You take it from the Beehives tucked under the rafters of abandoned houses in the Meadows and Black Forest.
How to Get It
Knock a wild hive apart and the bees will come after you, but it drops Honey and a Queen Bee. The queen is the real prize, because it lets you build your own Beehive at a Workbench for ten wood. A placed hive fills up by itself as long as it has a roof over it and clear space around it. From then on honey builds up with no further effort, so one early raid keeps you supplied for the rest of the game. Wild hives also show up in ruined buildings around the edges of the Swamp.
Notes
It is mainly used in mead bases and as an ingredient in cooking.
