Boar Jerky costs you a Beehive before it costs you a boar, because the honey that cures it only comes from a captured Queen Bee. Its materials come from the Meadows.

How to Make It

One Boar Meat and one Honey in a Cauldron make two pieces of jerky, so a single hunt goes noticeably further than it would on the cooking rack. You hunt boars across the Meadows, and once you have a pen you can tame and breed them for an endless supply. For the honey, search the ruined houses of the Meadows for a Queen Bee, build a Beehive somewhere open with flowers around it, and let it fill on its own. Jerky lasts far longer per serving than its cost suggests, which makes it the standard food to carry on a long voyage.
