The Cauldron is a squat pot beaten from ten bars of Tin. It is the kitchen bench of the Crafting Stations tab and your gateway to every recipe more involved than meat on a spit. Set it over a flame and it turns foraged odds and ends into the stews, pies and mead bases that carry you through the later biomes.
How to Build It
You smelt the ten Tin first, then build the Cauldron with a Forge nearby rather than a Workbench, which catches out builders who assume the kitchen counts as carpentry. On its own it does nothing: a fire has to burn directly underneath it, either a Campfire or a Hearth, before any recipe shows up. Its level climbs as you add kitchen extensions around it, so leave floor space on every side when you place it.
