The Bronze Helmet waits on a forge, and the forge waits on copper and tin hauled out of the Black Forest and alloyed two ingots at a time. It gives 8 armour, or 14 when fully upgraded. Worn with the rest of the Bronze Armor set, it is part of a 24 armour rating, which turns a 100-damage hit into 76.
How to Craft
It is made at a level 1 Forge from:
| Name | Image | Biome | Crafting Station | Spawn ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | Black Forest | Forge | spawn Bronze
| |
| Deer Hide | Meadows | - | spawn DeerHide
|
When to Use It
It is an early-game helmet. It needs Black Forest materials, so it comes after Eikthyr and the Antler Pickaxe.
Upgrades
It can be upgraded 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station one level higher than the last. The other figures on this page are for quality 1, so this table shows the full upgrade path your own copy is on:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Armor | Durability | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Notes
- Armor lowers physical, fire, frost and lightning damage, but poison and spirit damage go straight through it.
- While your armor is less than half of a hit's damage, it is simply subtracted from the hit. Once it reaches half the damage or more, the damage taken becomes the damage squared divided by four times your armor, so doubling your armor halves the damage you take.
- Your armor rating is the total of the helmet, chest, leg and cape pieces you wear.
