Metalwork needs its own bench, and the Forge is it. It is a Crafting Stations piece built from Stone, Coal, Wood and Copper. A Workbench covers wood and leather, while the Forge is where you craft and upgrade bronze, iron and silver armour, weapons, shields and tools.
How to Build It
It costs 4 stone, 4 coal, 10 wood and 6 copper, and you place it inside the range of a workbench. It will not work in the open: it needs a roof and walls around most of it before the game counts it as sheltered, so build the shed first and put the forge in it second. Extensions such as the Bellows, the Cooler and the Toolrack each raise its level, and every one of them has to sit inside the forge's own radius to count.
