Bronze Plate Leggings are the heaviest leg armour you can get until iron comes out of the Swamp, and about the last thing the Black Forest can do for your legs. They give 8 armour, or 14 when fully upgraded. Worn with the rest of the Bronze Armor set, they are part of a 24 armour rating, which turns a 100-damage hit into 76.
How to Craft
They are made at a level 1 Forge from:
| Name | Image | Biome | Crafting Station | Spawn ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | Black Forest | Forge | spawn Bronze
| |
| Deer Hide | Meadows | - | spawn DeerHide
|
When to Use It
They are early-game armour. They need Black Forest materials, so they come after Eikthyr and the Antler Pickaxe.
Upgrades
They can be upgraded 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station one level higher than the last. The other figures on this page are for quality 1, so this table shows the full upgrade path your own copy is on:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Armor | Durability | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Forge (Level 1) | 8 | 1000 | |

Properties
- -5% Movement speed
- Movement -5%: this is what wearing them costs you in speed, and in the cost of a dodge roll.
Notes
- They lower movement speed by 5%, and heavy chest and leg penalties add up, so a full heavy set slows you by 10%.
- Armor lowers physical, fire, frost and lightning damage, but poison and spirit damage go straight through it.
- Each upgrade level adds 2 armor.
