The Cape of Odin never drops from anything in Valheim. Only players who have it unlocked can stitch it together at a Workbench from Leather Scraps and coal. It gives 1 armour, or 4 when fully upgraded. Its materials come from the Meadows, and it is made at a Workbench.
How to Craft
It is made at a level 1 Workbench from:
- 10x Leather Scraps, dropped by Boars and Bats and dug out of muddy scrap piles.
- 4x Coal, burned from wood in a Charcoal Kiln.

When to Use It
It is gear for the opening hours. Everything it takes comes from the Meadows, so it suits a character who has just stood up.
Upgrades
It can be upgraded 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station one level higher than the last. The other figures on this page are for quality 1, so this table shows the full upgrade path your own copy is on:

Notes
- Most capes gain 1 armor per upgrade level, but the Ashen Cape, the Moose Hide Cape and the Cape of the Caller gain 2.
- A cape's armor counts toward your total armor rating along with your helmet, chest and leg pieces.
- A cape's frost resistance only stops Freezing while you are dry. Once you are Wet, it no longer protects you.
