The blackened trunks standing across the Ashlands are Scorched Trees, and felling one drops Charcoal Resin, sap that has burned once already and will happily burn again.
How to Get It
Chop down Scorched Trees in the Ashlands. A Stone Axe is enough to fell them, so the tool is never the problem. Getting there is. The Ashlands lie across open Ocean beyond the southern edge of the map, the coast is guarded and the ground itself is hostile. Plan for a proper ship, Mistlands gear and a fire resistance mead rather than a casual wood run. The resin is light and portal safe, so one successful trip brings back plenty.
