Dead Pulp is what is left of the pulps that creep through Mörkhalla, and the game advises you not to think about what it is made of. It has a single use: three of it, a corked vial and a pulp trophy make a Blob Bomb: Pulp at a workbench. It weighs half a unit and stacks to 50.

How to Get It

Three mobs drop it. A Shapeless Pulp drops it one time in two at any star level, and a Tiny Pulp one time in four. A Hexahedric Pulp, broken apart, drops two or three items picked from scrap iron, timberwood, lingonberries and dead pulp.

The pulps feed each other. A Hexahedric Pulp is a 600-health block set into the floors of Mörkhalla. While a player is within 20 metres, it spawns a shapeless pulp every five seconds, as long as no other shapeless pulp is within 20 metres of it. Each shapeless pulp bursts for 110 poison and 20 blunt around itself every two seconds. When it dies it splits into one tiny pulp, or two at one star and four at two. Tiny pulps have 50 health and do not attack.

Shapeless and tiny pulps are weak to blunt, frost and lightning, resist slash, pierce and fire, and ignore poison. They cannot be staggered. The hexahedric pulp is weak to fire and frost, resists pierce, pickaxe and spirit, takes full chop damage and ignores poison.

Notes

  • Hexahedric Pulp sits on every floor of Mörkhalla, so Dead Pulp never runs short while the dungeon stands.
  • A two-star Shapeless Pulp splits into four tiny pulps when killed, and each has a 25% chance to drop Dead Pulp, so the small ones are worth finishing off.

Dead Pulp Crafting Recipes

The bomb takes three dead pulp, and the pulp trophy is the hard part: shapeless pulps drop it only one time in ten. The steady way to farm both is to leave a hexahedric pulp standing and kill what it spawns.

The bomb is made at a level 1 workbench, so once you have the materials you can make it wherever a workbench stands. Like the other blob bombs, you throw it rather than swing it. The dead pulp and the pulp trophy only come from Mörkhalla, and you buy the corked vial from the Bog Witch.
