No copper leaves the ground until Eikthyr has fallen in the Meadows. Hard Antler drops only from the stag, and the first pickaxe is made of nothing else.

How to Get It

Only Eikthyr drops Hard Antler. You summon him at his sacrificial stone in the Meadows with Deer Trophies taken from ordinary Deer. He is the gentlest of the bosses, but he charges and calls down lightning, so fight him among the standing stones where you can break line of sight. The kill leaves more antler than one pickaxe needs, and you can use the altar again whenever you want more. Take the antler to a Workbench and the Antler Pickaxe opens up copper and tin in the Black Forest.
