Sacrificial Blood is the last thing Kall Fimbulbringer leaves behind, and its description calls it the last essence of an end once foretold. It is the end of the game in a bottle. Offer it at the chiselled platform and it calls Hugin, Munin and a valkyrie, and speaking to the valkyrie ends the game.
No portal will carry it: not an ordinary portal, not a stone portal, and not even in a world where the modifier lets every item through. That is deliberate, because the blood has to make one last journey across the world by ship or on foot before the story can end. It weighs 1 and stacks to 30.
How to Get It
Kall drops one when he dies, and nothing else in the game does. He waits in The Prison beyond the Aesir Passage. The passage opens for three Malicious Blood, which you take from the Malicious Ice at the heart of jotun invasions. The Prison is an instanced arena, always dark and as freezing as the land outside, so frost resistance matters there as much as on the surface.
The fight has three phases with 47,000 health between them. In the second, Kall shuts himself in ice that nothing can harm and sends out the aspects of the seven earlier bosses, starting with Eikthyr's Lightning Stag. Each aspect you kill deals 1,000 to Kall's 7,000 phase-two health. With one player on default settings the last aspect ends the phase, and the third and longest phase begins.
Notes
- Killing Kall also adds Seasoning of the Gourd to the Bog Witch's shelf, five for 220 coins.
- Once you beat the third phase, the message "Peace settles over the world" appears for every player, and the blood drops where Kall fell.
- The aspects keep the names of the Forsaken they echo, among them the Lightning Stag for Eikthyr, the Living Forest for The Elder, the Writhing Dead for Bonemass and the Dragon Mother for Moder. Each one has most of its original's attacks.
