Coins go into no weapon and no tool. They are the one thing the wandering traders accept. You find them in the chests of the Burial Chambers in the Black Forest and on the Trolls that walk above them.

How to Get It

Chests are the bulk of the supply: Burial Chambers in the Black Forest, Sunken Crypts in the Swamp, plus stone graves, viking graveyards and the containers in abandoned structures. Sunken Crypts stay shut until The Elder drops the Swamp Key. Trolls, Fulings and Dvergr all drop coins when killed. Getting them depends only on having the gear to survive the dungeon you are looting. Selling Amber, Rubies and Silver Necklaces to Haldor is the other steady income. Coins teleport, so you never have to carry them by ship.

Notes

The Obliterator turns 1000 coins into 100 Coal instantly. Alternatively, you can buy 2000 Bait for 1000 coins from Haldor and turn it into 200 Coal with the Obliterator.
