Tuna is a heavy catch hooked out of deep Ocean water, and it never reaches the plate whole. Think of it as stock rather than a meal: you cut it down into Raw Fish before cooking anything from it.

How to Get It

Tuna stay in open water, so you need a boat and a Fishing Rod to reach them. They only take Heavy Fishing Bait, which you mix at a Food Preparation Table from the ordinary bait Haldor sells and a Serpent trophy. That means a Serpent has to die before you can catch a Tuna. Cast into deep water and keep tension on the line while the fish tires, then reel it in. Back home, cut the whole fish into Raw Fish at the Food Preparation Table and grill that Raw Fish on a Cooking Station.

Quality

Fish do not get stars. Instead, each fish has a quality from 1 to 5, rolled when it spawns. Most waters give a 20% chance to step up a level, while the Ashlands and Deep North give 15%. A higher quality fish is visibly larger, weighs more, and cleans into more Raw Fish at a Food Preparation Table.

Notes

It has a unique line: "I've got this tune stuck in my head..."
