The Wood Iron Beam 26° is the shallower reinforced diagonal. It lies at the low pitch that suits a broad roof or a gentle ramp, and it sits beside its steeper twin in the Supports tab. It costs the usual two Wood and one Iron, and builders use it where a 45 degree slope would throw a roof far higher than the hall beneath it needs.
How to Build It
You build and repair it within reach of a Forge, for two Wood and one Iron. Settle the pitch first, because a 26 degree run only meets other 26 degree pieces square, and mixing the two slopes on one roof leaves a gap no amount of trimming will close. The iron gives the run more carry than plain timber, which is what lets a shallow roof cross a wide hall without a forest of posts underneath it.
