The Armored Arachas is an Insectoid and a kind of Arachas. It has grown a thick shell over every soft part of its body. One can be found just outside Novigrad.
Lore
An arachas has only one weak spot: its soft, sensitive abdomen. Some arachasae hide it under a hollow tree stump. The armored breed went another way. It grew a thick shell that covers all the delicate parts of its body, the abdomen included.
Foxy Lisa, a prostitute from Maribor, borrowed the name for a certain kind of customer. In her words, such a man is hard and prickly on the outside, but soft and squishy once undressed.
Behaviour
An Armored Arachas is a true giant. It uses its huge weight to knock its victims over and trample them. Then it eats their crushed remains. Like every arachas, it is highly venomous.
Weaknesses
Coat the silver sword with Insectoid Oil. Drink Golden Oriole before the fight, because its venom is strong. Bring plenty of healing potions and crossbow bolts too. Its thick plating soaks up a great deal of damage, so the fight is long and tiring.
Watch for its lunge. The Armored Arachas can leap at its prey from a surprising distance.
