Manticore Gauntlets are medium witcher gauntlets from Blood and Wine. They give 87 armor, +5% crit chance and +5 maximum toxicity at level 40. They belong to the Manticore set, which comes in a single Grandmaster tier. The diagram is in a container at the bottom of the Lake of Cleansing, found during Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear. They turn up late in the game, in Toussaint.
They also give +5% piercing, +6% slashing and +12% elemental resistance. The set bonuses carry crits over to bombs and add alchemy charges. Together with the crit chance and the toxicity, they suit an alchemy and bombs build.

The Manticore set is medium armor with a single tier, Grandmaster at level 40, plus an NG+ legendary variant. 3 pieces: crit chance and crit damage also apply to bombs, and bombs are thrown with no delay. 6 pieces: each alchemy item gets 1 extra charge.
How to Get Manticore Gauntlets
- Start the level 40 Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear in Toussaint.
- Dive to the bottom of the Lake of Cleansing and open the container that holds the gauntlets diagram.
- A grandmaster craftsman crafts them. The quest Master Master Master Master! in Beauclair unlocks this craftsman.
Manticore Gauntlets Map Location and Quest Guide
The Manticore Gauntlets diagram rests in a container at the bottom of the Lake of Cleansing, northeast of Basane Farm in Toussaint. The pin marks the spot in the lake, the last stop of Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear.
- Speak to Lafargue, the grandmaster smith in Beauclair, and ask about the Manticore gear to start Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear.
- Go to the Bastoy Prison Ruins and climb the standing tower. Loot the loose brick in the top room for the steel sword diagram and read the prisoner's journal.
- Go to Lebioda's cave southeast of Gélenser Farm, kill the panther, and read Merten's prayer on the far wall of the large cavern.
- Go to Lebioda's temple and use Aard on the far wall to open a hidden room. Defeat the Great Beggar's Ghost inside.
- Loot the container on the table for the trousers and boots diagrams and read The Great Beggar's journal.
- Go to Murky Delve, south of the Palace Gardens. In the purple mist, walk past the two women and go left, deeper into the cave.
- Give each beggar 10 crowns as alms to clear the way.
- Kill the three kikimore workers, then open the blocked path with Aard.
- Loot the container by the vision of Lebioda for the silver sword diagram and read Merten's notes.
- Go to the Lake of Cleansing northeast of Basane Farm and deal with the bandits. Use Witcher Senses to spot the red marker in the lake and retrieve the gauntlets diagram.

Notes
In NG+ the diagram makes Legendary Manticore Gauntlets instead. They give 89 armor at level 41 (+2 per level), +6% crit chance, +7% piercing, +7% slashing and +20% elemental resistance.
