The Mucknixer is a Necrophage and a more dangerous cousin of the Drowner. It lurks in the swamps and along the riverbanks of Velen.
Lore
Like drowners, mucknixers look like corpses pulled from the bottom of a pond. Many people believe they rise from the bodies of the drowned. Lost travelers who fall into bogs are said to become mucknixers, and so are children who swim too far from shore. This belief is false. Mucknixers, like the rest of their kind, belong to an entirely foreign species.
Behaviour
Mucknixers live in putrid, rotting filth, the same as drowners, vodniks and the Drowned Dead. Living in such muck has made them very resistant to poison. They are primitive creatures, no smarter than a carp or a pike.
Weaknesses
Coat the silver sword with Necrophage Oil. Igni is the Sign to use, because fire magic hurts mucknixers badly. Spells that work on the mind, Axii included, have no effect on them. Fight them the same way as drowners.
