The Wolven Steel Sword - Superior is a witcher gear steel sword from the base game. It is the third tier of the Wolf School sword. It deals 248-304 damage at level 29. Its diagram is at unmarked ruins southwest of Lofoten on Hindarsfjall in Skellige. It is mid-game steel.
It gives +7% sign intensity, +7% adrenaline gain, +5% crit chance, +7% bleed chance and +5% XP from humans and nonhumans. The mix of sign, adrenaline and bleed bonuses suits a bleeding hybrid.
It has 3 rune slots. These hold three runestones or one runeword.
Set Bonus
The Wolven set is medium armor with 5 tiers. 3 pieces: each bleeding effect on an enemy raises sword damage by 1% per set piece. 6 pieces: each adrenaline point raises how many bleeding effects can stack on one enemy. These bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a set.

The pin marks unmarked ruins southwest of Lofoten on Hindarsfjall. The Wolven Steel Sword - Superior diagram sits in a chest in the far left corner of the lower levels, which fill with toxic gas. It turns up during Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3, and a journeyman blacksmith crafts the sword from it.
- Start Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3 by finding any of its diagrams, or by buying the damp, moldy notes from the armorer at Kaer Trolde.
- Go to the ruins southwest of Lofoten, climbing up by the ledge to the north or southwest of them.
- Kill the ice troll nearby.
- Drop down the hole near the wolf marker into the lower levels.
- Clear the toxic gas with Aard or Igni, or drink Golden Oriole.
- Loot the chest in the far left corner for the steel sword diagram.

Notes
In NG+ the diagram makes the Legendary Wolven Steel Sword - Superior instead. It needs level 29 plus the starting level, with a minimum of 54, and deals 428.8-524 damage at level 54.
