The Woodland Spirit is a Leshen, one of the Relicts. It is a powerful monster that lives in the forest near the village of Fayrlund in Skellige. The elders of the village worship it.
Lore
Fayrlund is famous across Skellige as the home of the best hunters on the isles. The village lies close to a dense forest. Its elders believe that a powerful being lives in those woods, and they call it the Woodland Spirit. In truth, the Woodland Spirit is a Leshen.
The way the elders worship the creature has split the village. The young warriors of Fayrlund reject the old faith. They believe the so-called spirit should be put to the sword.
Behaviour
The Woodland Spirit rules the dense forest around Fayrlund. Like every Leshen, it commands the plants and animals of its territory.
Weaknesses
Coat the silver sword with Relict Oil. Igni works very well against the Woodland Spirit, and so do Dimeritium Bombs. It fights up close, mostly with its long claws, so dodge each swipe.

| In the Heart of the Woods | - | Fayrlund, Skellige |
|
The Woodland Spirit is at the heart of In the Heart of the Woods, a witcher contract in Skellige. The contract begins in Fayrlund, after a funeral for one of the villagers. Tracking the killer through the forest shows that the Woodland Spirit is a Leshen. The contract then splits into two paths with very different endings. One path sides with the elders, who want the Woodland Spirit left in peace. The other sides with the young warriors, who want it dead.
