Anna Hamill is a patrol officer of the Night City Police Department and one of the few honest cops in town. Amid the corruption of the force she stayed clean and fought every kind of injustice. That did not sit well with her colleagues. When she gets too close to the truth, someone hires V to stop her.

The Honest Cop

Anna always meant well. She often looked into matters the police already knew about but chose to ignore, which made her enemies inside the force.

Undercover

Anna rents an apartment above the Kabuki market in Watson to work undercover on a smuggling ring. Her investigation leads her to corruption at the highest levels of the police. In chasing the truth, she put at least two witnesses in danger, promising protection she could not or would not give. When V arrives at her apartment, she draws her gun and demands to know why V is there.

Anna is brave, stubborn and deeply principled. She hates Night City for what it does to people. Her sense of justice can turn into a hunger for revenge.

V can kill Anna to protect the corrupt officers, or talk her into giving up. If V talks calmly, she reluctantly ends her investigation and says she will leave the city. A Nomad V can persuade her to join a nomad clan, and she is later found at the Aldecaldos camp, playing with the children and happy with her choice. Otherwise, V later finds a dead police officer with a shard revealing that Anna stayed in the city to hunt down every corrupt cop she could find.
