Anthony Anderson is the chief and only surgeon of the Haven clinic in Dogtown, in Phantom Liberty. He keeps perfectly calm in any crisis, the kind of calm learned in a field hospital after a hopeless battle.
Biography
Nobody knows where Anderson learned his trade or where he worked before. Empathy is not his strong point, but he is far from cold: he chose to spend his skills on the poor of Dogtown, where few doctors would work. The Haven clinic depends on him, and on the people who help keep it open.
The game's Database calls him a surgeon with a mysterious past. With Odell Blanco, a former priest, he turned the Holy Haven church into a clinic for the poorest people of Dogtown. Odell's letters to charities explain how it works: the doors are open to anyone who needs care and cannot pay for it, the clinic takes no money for treatment or for a stay, and Anderson does all his work for free.
The clinic's website shows his skill. In one post, it celebrates a liver transplant he carried out on a patient whose own liver had failed, using the organ of another patient who had died at the clinic. His messages show the everyday side of the work: a friend sets up a cold store for the bodies of patients whose families need weeks to pay for a funeral, and when a dying mother leaves a healthy boy behind, Anderson finds him a place at a training centre.
Jobs
Anderson is part of Dogtown Saints, a gig from Mr. Hands.

Endings
The clinic's website changes with the outcome of Dogtown Saints. If he lives, the clinic thanks V and asks for help to repair the damage the Scavengers left. If he dies, it mourns him as a man who lost his life protecting his patients, and wonders how the clinic will survive without him.
