Down on the Street is the main job in which Goro Takemura brings V into his plan against Yorinobu Arasaka. It starts with a call from Takemura some time after Playing for Time, at the Channel Street docks in Japantown, Westbrook. V meets Takemura's contact Oda, then visits the fixer Wakako Okada to learn about the security for an upcoming Arasaka parade.

Story

Takemura's Call

Johnny cannot believe it. In the journal he says that if anyone had told him he would be taking calls from Saburo Arasaka's bodyguard, he would have laughed. Now they are meeting Takemura and handing over everything they know. He does not pretend it is a good idea, but sometimes the only thing to do is go all in.

The Docks

V goes to the docks in Japantown and waits by the barrier. Late at night, Takemura arrives, and soon after, Oda joins them. Oda is Hanako Arasaka's bodyguard. He will not listen to anything V says, but he lets slip that the upcoming parade will have problems.

Wakako

That leads V and Takemura to Wakako Okada, the fixer of Westbrook, in her parlour on Jig-Jig Street. With some persuasion, she hands over information about the security for the parade, on a shard. Takemura needs time to prepare after that, so V has to wait for his call. The story continues in Gimme Danger.

The Docks

1. Answer Takemura's call after Playing for Time.
2. Go to the Channel Street docks in Japantown.
3. Lean on the barrier at the marked spot and wait for Takemura. He comes at about 11:30 PM.
4. Talk to Oda when he arrives, then to Takemura.

Wakako

1. Get into Takemura's van, or travel to Jig-Jig Street alone.
2. Go to Wakako's parlour.
3. Chat with Takemura and an old man outside the office if desired.
4. Talk to Wakako and take her shard.
5. Follow Takemura outside and talk to him.
6. Wait about a day for Takemura's call.

V's remarks to Oda change nothing, as he refuses to listen. The talk with Wakako only changes the dialogue.

Tips

---

The wait for Takemura's call can be spent on other jobs, or skipped from the menu. If his call never comes, loading a save from before leaving Wakako's office and skipping time straight after the talk with Takemura usually triggers it.
