Election Season

Padre writes in the journal that it is election season, and everyone is wound up about politics. He does not like it, but it is good for business. A young woman came to him claiming to be a journalist. She must be a wizard with words, as he has never seen a reporter burn through so much cash.

She is fishing for dirt on the mayor's advisor, Javier Alvarado. She says he is embezzling public money and padding the Valentinos' pockets. The proof should be in the office of El Pinche Pollo. She seemed sure of her sources. And as always, she pays up front, and they do not ask who she "writes" for.

El Pinche Pollo

The restaurant is open to anyone who walks in without a weapon drawn. A Valentino named Ernesto Muñoz blocks the stairs to the office on the second floor. If V has finished Heroes, V can mention Jackie. Ernesto takes V upstairs to share a drink in Jackie's memory, then leaves V with a warning to keep the peace.
