Happy Together is a side job about Barry Lewis, V's neighbour in Megabuilding H10, Little China, Watson. Barry is a former NCPD officer who left the force and shut himself away after losing his closest friend, Andrew. It starts after the holocall with Takemura at the end of Playing for Time, when two police officers are found knocking at his door, one floor below V's apartment. Whether Barry gets through the job depends on how much V is willing to listen.
Story
The Neighbour
The journal is playful. The police seem to have taken an interest in one of V's neighbours, and it even sounded like they knew each other. Will V play the concerned, responsible citizen and ask what is going on? After all, if there were a potential psycho next door, wouldn't V want to know?
The officers are Nadia Petrova and Juan Mendez, Barry's former colleagues. Barry will not open the door to them. When they notice V, they ask V to find out what is wrong with him. At first, Barry will not answer V either, and V has to come back a few hours later.
Barry's Story
On the second try, Barry opens the door and lets V in. He talks about the NCPD, about a really bad case he worked that was swept under the rug, and about the friend he lost. Losing Andrew made everything worse. He is deeply depressed and has given up on the people around him.
Andrew
From there, V can go straight to the officers, or first visit Andrew's niche at the North Oak Columbarium. The niche holds the truth: Andrew was not a person at all, but Barry's pet turtle. With that in hand, V can tell the officers what Barry is really going through. Mendez then opens up to Barry about the hard cases he worked himself, and Barry finally lets his old colleagues in.
Happy Together Map Location and Walkthrough
Happy Together map location:
- Finish the holocall with Takemura at the end of Playing for Time.
- Go one floor down from V's apartment in Megabuilding H10 and talk to the two officers outside apartment 0613.
- Knock on Barry's door. He does not answer.
- Leave, wait three hours or skip time, then return and knock again.
- Talk to Barry. Show interest in his story: ask whether the NCPD has improved, about his friends on the force and how Andrew died, then say everyone has their limits.
- Do not go to the officers yet. Drive to the North Oak Columbarium and find Andrew's niche.
- At the niche, say that Barry needs help, then talk to Johnny.
- Return to Megabuilding H10 and talk to the officers. Say V visited Andrew's grave, then, with 13 Cool, the line about loving to lie to badges, or tell them to go see for themselves.
- Check on Barry later.

Choices
Barry's Fate
If V talks to the officers without visiting Andrew's niche, Barry takes his own life some time later, and a distraught Mendez is found outside his apartment. The job then fails. If V visits the niche first and tells the officers the truth about Andrew, Mendez reaches out to Barry, and Barry lives.

Completing Happy Together pays €$ 1,200 to 2,000, 461 experience and 691 Street Cred.
The job pays eddies, experience and Street Cred, with more eddies when Barry survives.
Tips
The best outcome needs a long drive to the North Oak Columbarium, so plan for it before talking to the officers. Kind, patient answers in the talk with Barry matter, as the wrong lines lead to the bad ending.
