Jason Wildriver is a nomad of the Aldecaldos who was hired to drive the merc Benedict McAdams out of town. When he learned that Militech had a bounty on his passenger, he changed his plans.

Biography

Dakota Smith hired Jason for a simple drive. Instead of getting Benedict out of the area, Jason took him to an empty house in the south of the Biotechnica Flats and locked him in the cellar, waiting to sell him to Militech. Dakota then sends V to get Benedict back.

Jason's messages show a nomad with failing gear. His Kiroshi optics no longer get software updates, and his vision acts up when it gets dark, which he says is not great in his line of work. He asks the fence Anton Kolev to find him a newer pair.

Dakota's brief tells the job that Jason betrayed. Benedict McAdams killed Councilman McClean only six hours after taking her contract, and she had promised to get him out of town once the job was done. A fixer, she says, is worth no more and no less than her last promise.
