Occupational Hazard is an SOS: Merc Needed gig from Regina Jones in Northside, Watson. Hal Cantos, a braindance editor fired from WNS News for fraud, was tuning a braindance for the Mox. When one of the girls put on the wreath, she snapped, and started screaming and shooting at everything that moved. Hal is hiding somewhere in the Mox warehouse on Longshore North, and the shooter, Anna Nox, is still loose inside.
Story
An Active Shooter
Regina explains in the journal. Hal Cantos is a known face in the area, a crack braindance tuner who worked for WNS News until he was fired for fraud. His business is strictly street now. Not that it matters.
Hal has got himself into an interesting situation. He was tuning a braindance for the Mox and must have made a mistake, because one of the girls lost it after putting on the wreath. She started screaming and shooting at everything. Hal found a place to hide, but it is only a matter of time before she finds him. Regina repeats it, in case V missed it: there is an active shooter in the building. V should go in with a gun ready. And Regina pays only if Hal comes out alive.
The Warehouse
Upstairs, a wounded Mox tells V what happened. She does not know where Hal is hiding, but she can explain how to weaken Anna through the Mox subnet. Anna roams the main room, and Hal is hiding in the large blue shipping container in that same room.
