Serious Side Effects is a Search and Recover gig from El Capitan in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. Denver Doug, a ripperdoc, patched up a 6th Street ganger, and after the man left, a gallon of beta acid was gone. Doug hired Booker Updike to find it, and Booker vanished. The trail leads to the Dewdrop Inn, a motel in Arroyo with a "Beep" sign, where someone is cooking with the stolen acid.
Story
Denver Doug
El Capitan keeps it simple in the journal. Something slipped through someone's fingers, and V's job is to get it back. His friend Denver Doug, a ripperdoc, recently patched up a 6th Street jerk, and when the man left, Doug noticed a gallon of beta acid missing. El Capitan has no idea what Doug uses it for, but the ganger knows all kinds of things can be cooked from it on the street. One plus one: a dealer stole it.
Doug hired a man named Booker Updike to find the acid, and then Booker disappeared. He was last seen at the Dewdrop Inn. V is to get the beta acid, and if there is time, find out what happened to Booker.
Room 103
Booker lies dead on the bed in room 103. Scanning the vent in the ceiling shows what happened to him.
Room 203
The stolen acid sits in a makeshift lab in room 203 upstairs, guarded by three gangers. The container is on the left side of the room.
